The Aussie (by way of New York City) cafe chain has made its way out east. Cold brew, matcha, and even golden milk lattes are on the menu, plus gluten-free baked goods from their spin-off bakery Husk. For summer '18, there's also a pop-up shop with Down Under-approved beach accessories (think suits, shades, and more).

For gym rats who can't bear the thought of being away from their rack. It's hardly luxe (especially considering how much a guest pass or summer pass will cost you), but it's the best option in town. If you're not willing to commit, they also host boot camp and yoga classes at the Montauk Playhouse.

Through summer ‘18 the renovated hotel spot is hosting (free!) weekend classes from Y7, Dance Body, ModelFit, and more. Stick around after to order a carrot "lox" sandwich (totally vegan, BTW) or turmeric scramble wrap from the cafe. Plus, guests get access to their cruiser bikes.

Better known by locals as just Salivar's, it's a fave for uber-fresh fish and not-too-pretentious vibes. Some people swear by the sushi menu, but your best bet is to ask what was just caught...and go with that. Ask nicely and you can turn any of the salads vegan, FYI.

Not only do you get views at the only oceanfront resort in Montauk, but also major healthy perks via Gurney's signature indoor seawater pool, steam room, and sauna (not to mention complimentary classes in their 24/7 gym). Even better? You don't actually have to be a guest to book an infrared-sauna session at the HigherDose pop-up or a spot at one of the Rumble, ModelFit, and 305 Fitness classes (curated by Wellth Collective) every Saturday and Sunday during the summer.

If a juice bar and a froyo spot had a baby, it would be Happy Bowls. There are lots of acai and pitaya base options, plus an entire station of mix-ins (from berries and coconut flakes to...candy). Like most things in town, the line moves slowly—but there's likely to be a surf movie playing overhead to keep you entertained.

The most-wanted place to stay in all of Montauk is arguably right here. In a tent. Right next to the ocean. That is, if you're lucky enough to nab one of the $35-a-night campsites (they're $70 if you're from out of state—and they go fast). Didn't land a spot? Day visitors have access to the beach (anglers can fish at night with a permit, BTW), plus a bevy of scenic hikes and bike paths.

This new addition has quickly become one of our fave fish-forward lunch spots. You can order the grilled tuna, swordfish, or mahi mahi over greens, but what really got us, ahem, hooked is the Tom Lob: basically a lobster roll, but with a tomato as a bun. (Sounds weird, tastes delicious.)

This Montauk institution lives up to the hype...that is, if you don't mind waiting patiently for your order. Stop by for what's arguably the best avocado toast on the entire island (it's topped with greens, which we wish was more of a thing), or one of their generously sized salads. There's also a smoothie menu, if that's your idea of breakfast, along with lots of gluten-free and vegan baked goods (although we've found them to be hit-or-miss).

Fresh green juice, massive salads, and lots of veggie-friendly sandwich options for breakfast and lunch at this town standby. If the line is long (warning: it almost always is) just grab a pre-made option from the refrigerator and take it with you to the beach.
