11 supplements that’ll let you take your weirdest wellness habits on the road

TSA, meet MCT oil.

by Rebecca Willa Davis | 08.11.2018

I get asked a lot about my morning routine. It goes something like this: alarm, snooze, snooze again, brush teeth, drink collagen water, burn palo santo, meditate for fifteen minutes (okay, fine, ten), drink a green juice, take my probiotic.

It’s nothing too fancy, but there’s something about the routine that keeps my day in check.

Which, of course, gets thrown off entirely when I’m hitting the road for The Glassy. Sleep schedules, work schedules, eating schedules…it all gets so off-kilter that suddenly a week can go by and I haven’t taken a sip of anything green. (It sounds like no biggie until you realize you can’t remember the last time you went to the bathroom. Not just me, right?)

It’s the same thing that gets us to abandon our resolutions by February 1: not a lack of willpower, but a lack of consistency. Studies have found that the more you do something, the more automatic it becomes, and the more likely you are to keep doing it.

Duh, right? And yet, sometimes we seemingly dare ourselves to hit that reset button when we travel. My tub of collagen powder is too big to pack, my requirements for a green juice (no fruit!) is too stringent, my usual probiotic needs to be refrigerated. And my whole morning routine goes out the (hotel) window.

So I spent this summer coming up with a list of the buzziest healthy habits we’ve been accumulating over the years—from taking adaptogens to going ketogenic—and from there tested out the portable, travel-ready packets and powders that support them.

The end result is a list of on-the-go hacks for every habit. Warning: Don’t read any further if you’d like to have an excuse for ignoring your habits when you travel.

Go Live travel probiotic powder
